Social Cause

Empower the Poorest of the Poor

At NGNR, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting causes. We strive to make a difference in our community by leveraging various initiatives, such as services, events, products, and awareness campaigns.

This year NGNG aspires to empower and feed the community of poorest of the poor in the slums community and to empower them to self- sustain through Project Fishing. First by equipping them with resources (the “fishing rod”) and then equipping them to sustain (to fish on their own).

This year in 2023, there is a GLOBAL HUNGER CRISIS. After steadily declining for a decade, world hunger is on the rise, affecting nearly 10% of people globally. From 2019 to 2022, the number of undernourished people grew by as many as 150 million, a crisis driven largely by conflict, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

How We Help and Empower Them

At our organization, we recognize that access to food is a fundamental human right. Though there are so many of these impoverished people, the Starfish story is an inspiration that we can still make a difference to someone.

If you haven’t read the Starfish Story, you may check out this link.

NGNR has embarked on programs to

  • Brings food to the poor through outreach in India.
  • Equipping these adults with skills (eg, earrings making).
  • Educate the children on safety and hygiene.

Our Projects

Project Fishing
NGNG aims to empower the poorest communities in slums through Project Fishing, providing them with resources to sustain themselves. In 2023, global hunger crisis is on the rise, affecting nearly 10% of people worldwide due to conflict, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Training and consultations to NGOs
In September 2022, #NGNR conducted Trauma-Informed Care Training for Radion International in Thailand online. Staff from Chiangmai and Kek Noi attended the 3-day training, actively engaging in conversation and discussion on applying Trauma-Informed Care in their work. All staff successfully completed the test with excellent results!
